Food insecurity remains a serious challenge for many low-income families across Pakistan, particularly households dependent on daily wages or irregular income. Providing freshly prepared meals can offer immediate support to families facing difficult circumstances.
On 9 November 2025, a food distribution project was carried out across communities in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The initiative distributed 328 cooked food boxes to 164 families, providing food assistance to approximately 820 people.
The project was sponsored by Mr. Zayad Azhaar and Mr. Ahad Azhaar and focused on reaching vulnerable households while maintaining the privacy and dignity of beneficiaries.
Food Distribution in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The project reached communities across Tehsil Lakki Marwat and Ghazni Khel, including Union Councils Easak Khel and Abdul Khel and the villages of Masti Khel, Abdul Khel and Zara Janoo.
Before the distribution, the project team conducted community surveys to identify families experiencing significant need. The assessment also considered whether communities were already receiving assistance from government organisations or NGOs.
This helped direct the available food assistance towards households identified as particularly vulnerable.

Supporting 164 Families Facing Food Insecurity
The Lakki Marwat food distribution project focused on vulnerable families who may struggle to meet their everyday food requirements.
Particular attention was given to low-income households and daily wage workers who can be especially affected by unstable employment and limited financial resources.
The project’s objectives were to provide food without discrimination based on caste, creed, religion or gender and to ensure that assistance reached deserving families free of cost.
Fresh Meals Prepared for 820 People
Food was prepared, packed and distributed among the selected families.
The project report records a menu that included Mutton Qorma, Zarda, Roti, mineral water and cold drinks, with quantities recorded across three events.
In total, 328 cooked food boxes were distributed among 164 families, with each family receiving two food boxes. The project reached approximately 820 beneficiaries.
How the Food Distribution Was Organised
The initiative followed a structured approach designed to identify families in need and distribute meals efficiently.
Community Survey
Before distribution, the project team surveyed local communities and identified locations where vulnerable households were living.
Beneficiary Selection
Families experiencing financial hardship were identified, with consideration given to communities receiving little or no assistance from government or non-governmental organisations.
Food Preparation
Meals were prepared for the selected beneficiaries before being organised into individual food boxes.
Packing and Distribution
The cooked food was packed and distributed to the identified families during the scheduled distribution period.
Privacy and Dignity
The project team took measures to keep beneficiaries anonymous. This helped families receive assistance without unnecessary public exposure.
Sponsored by Mr. Zayad Azhaar & Mr. Ahad Azhaar
The November 2025 Lakki Marwat Food Distribution Project was sponsored by Mr. Zayad Azhaar and Mr. Ahad Azhaar.
Their support enabled the project team to prepare and distribute food to hundreds of people across several communities in the district.
Volunteers Behind the Project
A team of volunteers supported the planning, preparation and distribution activities.
The project report lists Akbar Ahmad, Qurat-ul-Ain, Hamid Raza, Amir Malik, Ehsan Bashir, Aslam, Fiaz, Imtiaz, Mohsin Farooq, Murid Kazim, Nisar Ullah, Sifat Ullah, Ali Ullah, Javaid Khan and Noor Jilal among those involved.
Their participation helped ensure the meals reached the selected families in an organised manner.
Providing Assistance With Dignity
Effective community support is not only about how much assistance is provided but also about how people are treated while receiving it.
The project therefore placed importance on protecting beneficiary identities and delivering food respectfully. This dignity-focused approach helps ensure that families can receive necessary assistance without embarrassment or unnecessary exposure.
