Supporting Families Facing Food Insecurity

For families experiencing financial difficulties, providing nutritious meals every day can become a significant challenge. This food distribution initiative in Nagar District was organised to provide immediate assistance to people who needed it most.

The project particularly focused on supporting:

  • Low-income and vulnerable households
  • Daily wage workers experiencing financial hardship
  • Families affected by food insecurity
  • Individuals requiring immediate food assistance

Each selected family received freshly prepared food, helping provide short-term relief while bringing the community together through compassion and practical support.

180 KG of Fresh Food Prepared for the Community

For the Bar Das food distribution, approximately 180 kg of Chicken Biryani was freshly prepared.

The meals were prepared under hygienic conditions before being packed into individual food boxes. A total of 160 boxes were distributed, providing food for approximately 800 beneficiaries.

Careful planning helped ensure that the meals could be distributed efficiently during the scheduled distribution period.

How the Food Distribution Was Organised

A structured process was followed to make the distribution fair, organised and transparent.

The team first conducted a community survey in Bar Das Village to identify households requiring assistance. Families with limited financial resources and little or no support from other organisations were prioritised.

After identifying the beneficiaries, the team:

  1. Prepared fresh meals in hygienic conditions.
  2. Packed the food into individual boxes.
  3. Organised the meals for efficient distribution.
  4. Distributed the food directly to selected families.
  5. Confirmed that assistance reached the intended beneficiaries.
  6. Protected the privacy and dignity of the families receiving support.

This approach helped ensure that the available resources were directed towards people with a genuine need for food assistance.

Supporting Communities With Dignity

Food assistance is not only about providing something to eat. The way support is delivered is equally important.

Throughout the Bar Das Food Distribution Drive, particular attention was given to treating beneficiaries respectfully and protecting their privacy. The objective was to provide meaningful assistance without compromising the dignity of the families receiving it.

This principle remains central to community welfare initiatives associated with Hadi Shehzad: helping people respectfully and ensuring support reaches those who genuinely need it.

A Collective Community Effort

The successful distribution was made possible with the support of Aqeel Project and Kelly Marashi, together with the efforts of the local team and volunteers.

From identifying deserving households to preparing, packing and distributing meals, each stage required coordination and commitment.

Their combined efforts enabled 160 families and approximately 800 individuals to receive freshly prepared food during the initiative.

Continuing the Fight Against Hunger

Food insecurity can place enormous pressure on families, particularly in remote communities where employment opportunities and resources may be limited.

Projects such as the Food Distribution Drive in Bar Das, Nagar provide immediate assistance while demonstrating the impact that organised community support can have.

The work continues with a simple objective: reach people who need help, understand their circumstances and provide support with dignity and respect.
