Access to nutritious food remains a serious challenge for many low-income and vulnerable families across Pakistan. Financial hardship, unemployment and limited earning opportunities can make it difficult for households to meet their everyday food needs.
To provide immediate support, a Food Distribution Drive in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was successfully carried out on 22 February 2026, delivering freshly prepared meals to families experiencing food insecurity.
The project reached 252 families and approximately 1,260 people, with a total of 504 cooked food boxes distributed across several communities in District Lakki Marwat.
The initiative was sponsored by Hadi Shehzad and Kelly Marashi, with volunteers supporting the identification of beneficiaries, meal preparation, packing and distribution.

The food distribution initiative focused on reaching vulnerable households with limited access to regular assistance.
Before the distribution, local volunteers conducted field surveys and community assessments to identify families facing genuine financial and food-related difficulties. This process helped ensure that available resources were directed towards households most in need.

Supporting Families Facing Food Insecurity
Food insecurity can have an immediate impact on the wellbeing of individuals and families. Daily wage workers and households with unstable incomes can be particularly vulnerable when their earnings are insufficient to cover basic living costs.
The food distribution project in Lakki Marwat focused on providing immediate meal assistance to these communities.
The initiative aimed to:
- Provide freshly cooked meals to vulnerable families.
- Support low-income and daily wage households.
- Reach communities with limited access to external assistance.
- Provide food support without discrimination.
- Distribute assistance fairly and respectfully.
- Protect the privacy and dignity of beneficiaries.

How the Food Distribution Was Organised
A structured distribution process was followed to improve fairness, transparency and efficiency.
1. Community Survey
Local volunteers visited communities and assessed households to identify people experiencing financial hardship and food insecurity.
2. Beneficiary Selection
Priority was given to vulnerable families and households with limited access to other forms of assistance.
3. Meal Preparation
Fresh meals were prepared using suitable ingredients and hygienic food preparation practices.
4. Food Packing
The prepared meals were packed into individual food boxes, making them easier to handle and distribute.
5. Community Distribution
Volunteers distributed the meals across Masti Khel, Abdul Khel, Zar Janoo and Dhodha, reaching beneficiaries in several parts of District Lakki Marwat.
Throughout the process, particular attention was given to maintaining the dignity and privacy of families receiving support.
Volunteers Behind the Project
Community initiatives depend on people willing to contribute their time and effort. The Lakki Marwat project was supported by volunteers who helped coordinate activities from the initial field survey through to the final distribution.
The volunteers included Akbar Ahmad, Qurat-ul-Ain, Hamid Raza, Ehsan Bashir, M. Hanif, Farman Ullah, Azeem, Fazal Rehman, Noor Muhammad, Irfan Ullah and Raqeeb Ullah.
Their involvement helped ensure that food was prepared, organised and delivered efficiently to the intended beneficiaries.
Sponsored by Hadi Shehzad and Kelly Marashi
The Food Distribution Drive in Lakki Marwat was sponsored by Hadi Shehzad and Kelly Marashi.
Their support enabled the project team to provide freshly prepared meals to 252 families, reaching approximately 1,260 people in communities across Lakki Marwat.
The project demonstrates how targeted assistance, supported by local knowledge and community participation, can provide meaningful help to families experiencing difficult circumstances.
Providing Support With Dignity
Food assistance is about more than the number of meals distributed. How that assistance reaches people is equally important.
The project therefore focused on identifying genuine need, organising the distribution carefully and treating every beneficiary respectfully.
This approach reflects a simple principle behind Hadi Shehzad’s community initiatives: support should reach people directly, respectfully and with dignity.
Continuing the Fight Against Hunger
The completion of the Lakki Marwat Food Distribution Drive provided immediate food assistance to hundreds of families, but food insecurity remains an ongoing challenge for many communities.
Continued community involvement and responsible support can help reach more families experiencing hardship.
Every meal can make a difference. Every family deserves to be treated with dignity.
Visit. Witness. Give Directly.
