Many low-income families in Pakistan struggle to afford enough food for their daily needs. This is especially difficult for families who depend on daily wages and have limited sources of income.
To help families in need, Hadi Shehzad sponsored a food distribution project in Nagar, Gilgit-Baltistan, in August 2026. The aim was simple: to provide freshly cooked food to deserving families and support people facing financial difficulties.
Supporting Families in Need
Before the food distribution, the project team identified families and areas that needed support the most. This helped make sure the food reached deserving people in the local community.
The project provided support regardless of caste, religion or gender. The privacy and dignity of the families were also respected throughout the distribution.
Food Distribution in Nagar, Gilgit-Baltistan
The food distribution took place on 5 August 2026 in Budalas (Shitindas), Nagar District, Gilgit-Baltistan.
Volunteers helped prepare, organise and distribute the meals. Around 100 kg of Chicken Biryani was prepared and packed into 66 food boxes.
These meals were provided to 66 families, supporting approximately 330 people in the local community.
